植樹日 2025 Tree Planting

On 27/07, the National Tree Day, we will help to plant a range of trees, shrubs and groundcovers to make River Drive Reserve greener and cooler!
We’ll meet on site (Bridget St / River Drive, Athelstone) by 10:00am to complete registration. The event is hosted by the Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA). It will start at 10:30AM, serve free lunch from 12:30PM ~ 1:00PM, and officially finishes by 2:00 PM, or earlier if all seedlings are planted. To our experience, all seedlings are likely planted before lunch. There will be additional activities and a free native plant giveaway for you to enjoy until 2:00PM, and you are welcome to leave at any time.
What to bring:
Please make sure you come prepared with the following:
– Warm clothing
– Long sleeved shirt/top (no T-shirts)
– Long pants (no shorts)
– Sturdy shoes (no thongs, sandals or slippers)
– A reusable water bottle
– Snacks (in case you work up a big appetite while planting!)
– Raincoat (if wet weather is expected)
Note: Tools and equipment will be provided, however please bring a pair of gardening gloves if you have them. There will be spare gloves to borrow if needed.
Dietary requirements: CVA is partnering with the Golden Grove Lions Club to provide a free BBQ afterwards. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know 3 days before the event, and we will try our best to communicate with CVA to accommodate.
