Our Services

We serve the Hong Kong community residing in South Australia with special focuses on preserving our Hongkonger Identify, Career Services, Business Investment, New Arrival Support, and Community Engagement.

Hong Kong Cultural Programs

Preserve our Hong Konger identity

As a successful former British Colony from 1841 – 1997, Hong Kong  is a unique place blending East and West. Under the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the “one country, two systems” model came into effect following its 1997 handover from the UK to China. In this agreement, it states that Hong Kong shall continue to enjoy civic freedom and a high degree of autonomy for 50 years.

Hong Kong has inherited strong British characteristics in law, politics, education, languages and the pursuit of universal values. As such, there is a sense of ‘Hongkonger identity’ we deeply value and would like such an identity to be properly represented.

We collaborate with the local government bodies, community agencies and associations to deliver various Hong Kong Cultural Programs and Events. The Hong Kong Festival and the Hong Kong Exhibition are currently on the agenda.

Career Services
Finding work

Having a job or achieving financial well-being are the foundation of building a thriving family and hence a Hong Kong community in Adelaide. From writing a CV, interview preparation, networking, referrals, to employment seminars, we facilitate mutual help and opportunities for our members.

Community Engagement
Integrate into the Australian life

Social integration is key if we want to be Australia’s successful migrants. It means a person who comes here shares the Australian values, engages in the community and has full knowledge and rights to government services. In return, we also contribute to the Australian society by engaging in different types of civil participation, such as volunteering and community activities.
